Membership, data, music rights and everything in between — the short version is: your own original material is welcome directly on the platform, everything else is embedded from wherever it's already properly licensed.
Is it free for fans?
Yes. Browsing, following, RSVPs and reminders are free. If we ever add optional extras for fans, the basics stay free.
What do artists get for £5 a month?
The page builder, your own web address and mailbox, gig listings that reach your followers, broadcasts, set packages and repertoire, video and music embeds, and verification. The first 30 days are free; cancel any time from Settings.
Can I put my gigs on my own website or in my own calendar app?
Yes - turn on "Share my calendar publicly" in Settings and you get three self-updating outputs from the same gig list you already keep here: a subscription link for Google, Apple or Outlook, a copy-paste widget for your own website (a plain list or a calendar grid), and a raw JSON feed if you or a developer want to build something custom. Add, change or cancel a gig here and all three update themselves - nothing to re-copy. On by default for artists; venues and promoters can switch it on the same way.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your profile stays visible as a basic listing (name, photo, genres, upcoming gigs), so you never vanish from the map. Your full page, broadcasts and mailbox pause. If you bought a domain, it's still yours and still points at your listing. Start paying again and everything comes back.
Can I upload my music?
Not recordings of released songs — covers included. Link them from YouTube, SoundCloud, Mixcloud, Bandcamp, Twitch, TikTok or Instagram instead and they'll play on your page. Original demos you own outright can be uploaded. This keeps the platform on the right side of music licensing, which protects you as much as us.
Why are DJ sets and mixes embedded rather than uploaded?
A DJ set can run to thirty-plus tracks, each with two separate rightsholders (the composition and the specific recording) - and often includes white labels, edits and bootlegs no metadata could ever fully account for. That's an enormous licensing exposure for us to carry directly. SoundCloud and Mixcloud already hold the licences that cover this, so a set posted there and embedded on an artist's profile here is properly licensed - the same set uploaded straight to us wouldn't be.
I'm a DJ - do I need a licence just to carry my own tracks around?
Playing out at a licensed venue is covered by that venue's own licence, so nothing extra is needed there. Copying your own purchased library onto a laptop or USB for DJing technically requires a ProDub licence from PPL (from around £213+VAT for up to 5,000 tracks) - widely unenforced in practice, but a real requirement if you want to be fully covered. It has nothing to do with this platform; it's between you and PPL.
Do you own my domain?
No. Domains bought through us are registered in your name; we're the technical contact so we can set them up. If you leave, take it with you.
What's the deal with the free mailbox?
It's a real mailbox on a domain you buy through us — hello@yourname.uk — that works on your phone and in webmail. We back it up nightly. It's provided as-is with no service guarantees: if you run a business that can't lose an email, use it as a forward to a mailbox you pay someone for.
Why do I have to verify my identity?
Only when you claim an artist, venue or promoter profile. It stops impersonation and means fans and venues can trust that a page is really yours. Fans don't verify.
I'm under 18 and I DJ. Can I join?
Through a parent or guardian, who holds the account until you're 18 and it's handed over to you.
Why isn't there a feed?
Because a feed needs an algorithm, an algorithm needs to profile you, and the whole point is that you decide what you follow. You'll see the gigs of people you follow, in date order. That's the feed.
Do you show ads?
No. Members pay; that's the business.
Is there ticketing?
Not yet. Events can link to wherever tickets are sold. Our own ticketing, with face-value transfers only, is planned.
Which countries?
UK and Spain first, because that's where our first artists and venues are. Anyone can browse; we'll open sign-up elsewhere when we can support it properly.
Can I get my data out?
Yes — your page exports as a standalone site, and account deletion removes everything we hold.
Who moderates?
People. Reports go to a human, with a clear ladder from warning to removal, and a route for copyright complaints.
